Build a Golf Cart Utility Vehicle Plans
These plans for a golf cart come in two parts, linked below.
These 1958 plans show you how to make a battery powered golf cart. With their setup, they claim that the engine will push the cart 20 MPH and have a range of 30 miles.
Using two electric motors suitable for general propulsion and motorcycle sprocket assemblies, the cart's dive train is remarkably simple.
The batteries suggested are 6 volt with around 170 amp hours, wired together to create a 24 volt system. Modern 12 volt marine "deep cycle" batteries would produce the needed power and have extended battery life.
These plans were scanned from an old magazine and converted to a convenient downloadable digital PDF file format.
