It stores garden tools, lawn mower, hose and fertilizer right in the garden area and keeps the clutter out of the garage or basement. Besides that, with its water wheel, and possibly a small garden pool, the shed forms a pleasing rustic background for: a variety of plantings. The lean to shed shown on page 164 is built against the back or side of a garage. This type of structure may be preferred for reasons of space or economy and it too could be fitted with a water wheel if desired. Construction of the tool shed is detailed on the following page. The concrete foundation and slab floor are poured at the same time, the foundation being deep enough to extend below the frost line............
